are not responsible for damage or any other expense caused by the use of
this information. In all cases of jacking up the car, or using tools, BE
CAREFUL and DO IT PROPERLY. Parking brake, wheel chocks, and jack stands
are NOT OPTIONAL, they are NECESSARY. Always disconnect the negative
battery lead where electronics or welding are involved, and make sure the
lead is touching nothing but air. Be safe, and have fun. See the
Safety Tips
page for more info.
This page will grow and become more in-depth as
time goes on. For now I've just done the basics:
January 12, 2003:
1. De-sensitize misfire detection (changed all low RPM to 32000 and
Idle by Cyl at 0 and 5 KPA to all 32000)
2. Increased max torque to 600
3. Changed Rev Limiter by gear to match park/neutral and bad VSS
values previously set
4. Changed IAC Park position from 40C and up to 21 to help with
warm idle problems
5. Lowered idle speed to 800 after warmup
Nov 19, 2002:
1. Disable CAGS (set activation
temperature to 300 degrees)
2. Set speed limiter to 255
3. Upped rev limiter (set both Park/Neutral and Bad VSS cutoff to
6800 and resume to 6799. Also changed "Abuse Mode Test"
to 6800).
4. Upped Idle Speed. Starting at 132, changed from 800 to
850 for both regular and A/C on. Yours may be different, just find
the number when the engine is hottest, and change that number across the
board (leave all different numbers alone, they seem to do fine).
You could up the others too if you want the car to heat up faster.
